8th Grade Bridge Program 2021/2022

CWEB 8th Grade Bridge Program Sign-Up 2021-22

The Bridge Program is a dynamite lineup of grouped classes taught by extraordinary teachers at the Resource Center in Union City on Mondays and Wednesdays each week! The Bridge Program is designed to ensure your 8th grade student will be ready for the rigor of high school.

 

Cost: $800.00 per semester for the 4 core courses, electives, fieldtrip and Chromebook will be deducted from the student account to pay for the cost of materials, supplies and instruction for the Bridge Program. All materials will be returned at the end of the school year.

 

Parent/Student Orientation: Wednesday August 18th @ 9am

 

First Day of Class:  The first day of classes will be Monday, August 16th at the Resource Center.  Students should arrive at the Resource center for the Wednesday, August 18th orientation at 9am so they are ready to start social studies at 9:30am.

 

Monday Schedule

9:30 am - 11:00 am: Algebra I (90 min) / Semester Elective A (60 min)

11:00 am - 1:00 pm: English 8 (120 min)

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Math 8 (60 min) / Semester Elective A (60 min) / Lunch (60 min)

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm:     Physical Science 8 (60 min) 

 

Wednesday Schedule

9:30 am - 11:00 am: Algebra I (90 min) / Semester Elective B (60 min)

11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Social Studies 8 (120 min)

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Math 8 (60 min) / Semester Elective B (60 min) / Lunch (60 min)

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm:     Physical Science 8 (60 min)

Curriculum:  

The curriculum that will be used and provided for each student is reserved at the Resource Center. Please inform the staff that you are attending the Bridge program and they will give you the materials. If students do not already have a Chromebook to use as an aid for their classes, one will be provided, which needs to be returned when the student drops/exits the class at the end of the year.
