Language Tree Learning Foreign Language at Home

Language Tree company is focused on introducing foreign languages to children at an early age in a way that is both highly engaging and educationally sound. Since the company’s inception in 2003, they have become the leader in language learning for kids. Their product range spans the most in-demand languages of today: Spanish, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Japanese, American Sign and more.

On their website www.language-tree.com, under Products you can also select a language and then click demo video of the DVD.

Over a year ago they launched an online language program for children. This came to fruition given continued strong interest from schools and parents for more foreign language education.

They offer in depth foreign language curriculum.  The program features self-paced lessons that students can access from any computer or tablet as well as automatic performance tracking. Their emphasis is on engaging the student and carefully explaining concepts every step of the way using a “virtual teacher”. They use a combination of scenario-based videos, interactive games, audio/listening practices and quizzes to keep students of all ages excited about learning.

Language Tree’s online foreign language learning curriculum is aligned with Common Core Standards using KUD (Know, Understand, Do). Their program was developed by a McGraw-Hill curriculum writer and experienced 2-way language immersion educators from the California public school system and their Beginner Spanish online program recently won Parents’ Choice award for outstanding online software.
